Grand Theft Auto is one of the biggest game franchise ever created and it has impacted millions of gamers around the globe. GTA V is the latest game in the series which was released in 2013 and it is one of the greatest games ever made. Even in 2020 it still continues to sell like crazy.
But if we go back in time right back to 2004 when the best ever Rockstar title ” Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas ” was released, which was way ahead of its time. here are some of the reasons why GTA: San Andreas is the best and will be in our hearts for life.
1. Multiple Cities and Map Variety
San Andreas has a massive map even bigger than GTA IV. The map comprises of three major cities, Los Santos which is based on Los Angeles where all the gang related fun stuff happened like Groove Street vs Ballas. Then there was San Fierro based on San Francisco with trams, hills and the famous golden gate bridge and the third is Las Venturas which literally means city of fortunes in spanish and is obviously based on the city Las Vegas. The map felt massive for its time and consisted endless fun things to do.
2. Weapon Skills
The game has many great weapons and the best thing about it was you can develop skill for each individual weapon or gun type. if you develop enough skills and max out the skill you can wield two gun. Double UZIs.
3. Soundtracks
In GTA you’ll spend a lot of time driving, so good music is a must. no worries, the game has many great radio stations like Radio Los Santos and K-DST with almost every genre of music. Plus the game also has amazing OST and background sounds.
4. The Jetpack
The legendary Jetpack of San Andreas which can be accessed at the end of the game or by the famous cheat “ROCKETMAN”. Flying around in jetpack never gets old.
5. The Legendary Storyline
GTA San Andreas has one of the best stories in the series. the story of the main character CJ is very emersive and has great plot twists plus a bit of humor as well and all the gang war stuff was very fun to play around.
6. Customization
The game had wide variety of customizations. you can personalize your Body and Car. like if you wanna get buffed you can hit the gym and get ripped and if you wanna get fat you can go to a restaurant and eat more. you can also get tattoos and haircuts ( from barbers who can even instantly grow your hair back ) and you can go to the garage to customize your vehicles.
7. Story Missions
San Andreas had many amazing super fun missions and it takes a long time to complete all 100 missions. Some of the most famous missions from the game are
- Breaking the Bank at Caligula’s – Heist
- Just Business – Big Smoke
- Pier 69 – Garage
- Deconstruction – Garage
- End of The Line – Riots
All these missions were very immersive and fun. we got many famous funny memes like “follow the damn train CJ” and “you picked the wrong house fool”!
This Nostalgic game will always have a special place in our hearts. In 2020 it may seem like it lacked in graphics and visuals, but it was the most amazing game for its time and one of the best games ever made!
