Samsung has always been known for its great tech innovations, and again it has lived up to its reputation, The 55-inch Samsung Odyssey Ark 1000R curved monitor is the newest addition to the Odyssey monitor family from the South Korean manufacturer. The new gaming-oriented monitor has a 4K (3,840 x 2,160) display with a 1ms reaction time (GtG) and up to 165Hz refresh rate.
The Samsung Odyssey Ark 55-Inch Curved Monitor is available only in Black and has an Adjustable-Height Stand (HAS), It has a Cockpit Mode that enables users to tilt and rotate the HAS. It features four 60W-output speakers with Dolby Atmos compatibility. The monitor was initially announced at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

Samsung’s latest gaming monitor includes a 55-inch 1000R curved matte display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and 4K (2,160 x 3,840 pixel) resolution. It has a refresh rate of up to 165Hz and a supposedly 1ms response time. It also incorporates Mini LED backlighting. The new display operates using the company’s super neural quantum processor.
Samsung has included AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support for variable refresh rates on the 55-inch Odyssey Ark curved display to provide a fluid gaming experience. It comes with an Ark Dial controller that allows users to modify the screen size from 55 inches to 27 inches, alter the screen position, and switch between 16:9, 21:9, and 32:9 aspect ratios.
In addition, there is a specific cockpit mode for rotating the screen with HAS and tilt and pivot capability in order to provide an optimum screen environment. The multi view capability enables users to use the huge screen by simultaneously showing up to four displays. Game bar enables users to see their gaming status and adjust settings without leaving the game screen.
Samsung’s Gaming Hub enables users to find their favorite games from partners like Xbox, Nvidia GeForce Now, Google Stadia, Utomik, and Amazon Luna.
As previously stated, the 55-inch Samsung Odyssey Ark curved display offers twin woofers and quad speakers with 60W output and Dolby Atmos audio capabilities. The frequency response range is between 45 and 20,000 Hz. Four HDMI 2.1 connections are provided for communication. The monitor may be wall-mounted or put on a flat surface.

The price of the new Samsung 55-inch Odyssey Ark curved display in the United States is $3,499.99. It is presently available for pre-order via the company’s online shop. It is only available in Black color. Samsung has not yet provided information on the worldwide availability of the new monitor.
