• The Panel Technology
This is a little tricky part, There are basically, Three Panel types :
• TN – (Twisted Nematic)
• VA – (Vertical Alignment)
• IPS – (In-Plane Switching)
Now, I could go really deep into their technical aspects but i’ll try to make it really simple to understand.
IPS panels have the best overall Visual Quality and the best Viewing Angles. Whereas VA Panels offer the best color Contrast Ratio and TN panels offer high refresh rates and the fastest response time of 1ms (Although, today many high-end IPS monitors can also go as fast as 1ms).
In Short, Go for a IPS panel if you are a professional content creator and a casual gamer for more vibrant and accurate color reproduction.
Go for a TN panel if you have low budget and want a faster and smoother gaming experience.
VA panel is the middle ground for decent viewing angles, fast screen and picture quality at a pocket friendly price range.
But, If you have a decent budget, I would strongly recommend you to go for an IPS panel for the best overall experience!
